The Department of Information Science at College for Women, Kuwait University, invites applications for faculty positions starting September 2007 in the following (or related) areas: Information Science & Technology, Information Systems, Database Systems, Telecommunication Networks & Security, Data Mining, and Web Development & Multimedia.

Preferences will be given to those applying for Associate and Full Professor ranks. Applications for short time visiting professor appointment will also be considered. The medium of instruction is English. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses, conducting scholarly research, and carrying administrative duties. Both male and female candidates are invited to apply.

Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. from a reputed western university in the area of specialization or related fields. The candidate must also demonstrate evidence of quality teaching and research and have full command of English. To be considered for an Associate or Professor level, the candidate must have a strong publication record in refereed international journals.
