About CFW
A Welcome from the Dean

The College for Women at
Kuwait University was established with the
aim to provide high quality university level
education for female students. We seek to
graduate students who are able to recognize
and meet the challenges that may stand in
the way of ensuring a better future for the
State of Kuwait.
The College adopts the
Outcome-based Academic Model (OAM). We
believe that this model enables students to
increase their ability to become
self-learners and active
participants/leaders in their community.
Through applying this model, we hope
to instill in our graduates the knowledge
and skills needed
in the workplace, to |
enjoying the benefits of rich undergraduate
programs. The curricula of the different programs
offered at CFW ensure that our graduates are well
prepared for the workplace and to assume
responsibility and leadership in the family, the
community, and the nation at large.
The staff and faculty at CFW share
in and are inspired by the welfare of our students.
Our team is committed to excellence in teaching,
research, and community services. They reserve no
effort in helping students to gain competence and to
fulfill their goals in the face of any challenges
and/or hurdles. We enjoy a unique relationship with
our students and we seek to create a healthy
academic environment for them through which they can
excel, become committed life-long learners, and
attain high quality professional achievements.
As a professional Kuwaiti woman, I
know the importance of education in the lives of
young Kuwaiti women. I am also aware of the fact
that Kuwaiti women have the capacity to create
better future for their communities. I believe that
in CFW we provide female graduates with the
educational and practical experiences needed to
nourish and develop their intellectual capacity and
to inspire them to reach their maximum potentials.
